Getting Started

  • Is Breadcrumbs free?

Yes. Breadcrumbs is free to download and use on iOS and Android. A Pro tier ($99 lifetime, $6.99/month, or $59.99/year) unlocks video crumbs, 1 TB cloud storage, ad-free use, and cross-device sync.

  • What platforms does Breadcrumbs support?

Breadcrumbs runs on iOS 16 and later and Android 10 and later. There is no web client today — your map and crumbs live in the mobile app.

Account

  • How do I sign in?

Sign in with your Google or Apple account. Breadcrumbs does not use passwords, which means there is nothing for an attacker to phish or leak.

  • How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Account → Delete Account. Breadcrumbs erases all of your data — crumbs, photos, videos, profile, analytics — within 30 days. The action is GDPR-compliant and cannot be reversed.

Data & Privacy

  • Is my map private?

Yes. Your map is private by default. There are no public feeds and no followers. You can choose to share specific crumbs or trips with specific people, the way Google Photos shares albums.

  • Can I export my data?

Yes. From Settings → Export, you can save your full archive to Google Drive, Dropbox, or as a JSON file. Photos and videos export at original quality if you are on Pro.

Pro

  • How much does Breadcrumbs Pro cost?

Pro is $6.99 per month, $59.99 per year (saves $24), or $99 one-time for lifetime access. The lifetime price is a launch special and is limited to the first 500 buyers.

  • What does Pro unlock?

Pro unlocks video crumbs, 1 TB cloud storage, higher photo upload quality (up to 12 MB / 4K vs. free 2 MB / 720p), cross-device sync, priority support, and removes ads. Free users keep core map and crumb features forever.

Technical

  • Does Breadcrumbs work offline?

Yes. You can drop crumbs, attach photos, and write notes without a network connection. Breadcrumbs queues everything and syncs when you are back online. Photo uploads continue in the background while you keep adding crumbs.

  • How does Breadcrumbs use my photos?

When you attach a photo to a crumb, Breadcrumbs reads its EXIF metadata to pre-fill location and date. Photos are stored privately by default with signed URLs and are never shared without your action.
